Looking for French Teachers

OPTION 1
Firefly Tutors is hiring an IN-HOME FRENCH LANGUAGE TUTOR in Atascadero, CA!
IN-PERSON / IN-HOME, Experienced Tutor ONLY. MUST BE AVAILABLE to tutor some weekdays, start immediately, and continue tutoring through the 26/27 school year

Ideal candidate must have/be:
● Bachelor's degree or above
● FUN, skilled, creative, compassionate, intuitive, encouraging tutor
● Versed in K - 6 curriculum instruction in French language (reading and writing)
● Native speaker
● 1-2 years of experience working with students

Responsibilities
● Provide tutoring in French language to enhance students' language skills
● Identify how students learn best
● Implement creative, engaging lessons tailored to students' needs
● Utilize learning technology to facilitate effective teaching and learning experiences
● Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth

Pay is $35 per hour; 1-10 hours per week; In-home tutoring only.

OPTION 2
Heartland Charter School - Create your own tutoring business and become an approved vendor. Most language vendors with their own businesses charge around $75–$90 per hour.

Open to: K–12 French World Language, Dual Language Immersion teachers, educators from the Alliance Française network

This hands-on professional development opportunity will help participants transform ideas into impactful classroom projects through project-based learning and collaborative design.  

 

Educators will develop projects inspired by the program's core themes:
Franco-American friendship, leadership, and humanist values.
